My Personal Journey

I've always been interested in nature, spirituality and science. 

I grew up in a very natural setting which cultivated my appreciation for, and interest in nature. We lived in the fertile southern New Jersey farmlands just to the east of Philadelphia. On a beautiful 21 acre plot of land we kept horses, ponies, dogs and cats and occasionally a bunny and a few turtles. Plenty of wooded area and lakes around allowed for many insightful explorations of the natural environment.

I also had a very definite inclination to spirituality as well. Many questions would arise within me as I was navigating my early years. I remember thinking, where was I before my birth? As well as considering the feeling that I was still somewhere before that event—that I was continuous in some way. I also remember very distinctly being visited by an orb of light when I was about 8 years old. It hovered in the corner of my room and glowed a sort of yellow-white color. I called out to my parents expressing my concern for this intruder and was told to "just go to sleep, it's nothing." So, I watched the orb watching me and began to feel calmer as I realized it was no threat. It just hovered there for, maybe fifteen minutes and then just dissolved into the background. When I was twelve, I was due to be confirmed into the Catholic Church and...well, I just couldn't do it. I locked myself in my room and began to cry. My dear parents, addressing me from the other side of the door tried to convince me to go through with it. However, I would have none of it, much to the dismay of my well intentioned father. I really felt a direct connection with the spirit of Jeshua Bin Joseph and wanted that direct relationship without other storytellers. Nothing personal against the Catholic Church, it is just that it wasn't my path. I really felt on a very deep spiritual level that this church information was incorrect at worst and incomplete at best, that's how I felt. I have come to realize that to be true from my perspective. I did not feel that it was "the whole story." as it where. I felt I needed to explore my spirituality directly without a middle man, or at least a middle organization. That is just the truth of it. In fact I never gravitated toward organizational religion at all. It became obvious as time went on that my path was to be of personal study and direct experience. And so it is.

Science was also very interesting to me. But it was the science fiction that I really found intriguing, and in some ways learned more from than the schools. There was something a little amiss in the approach being taught. I could not put my finger on it then of course, but what I did know was that I found it to be quite dry and disconnected. Biology and geometry were probably my favorite investigations as I look back upon it. Many years later I was to find out the reason for my intellectual disconnect. It was the lack of holistic thinking. What made it dry, I was to realize, was the linear, reductionist, Euclidean approach that was not in alignment with the way things really are, otherwise known as "the truth". Useful? Yes. Complete? Not even close. This led me little by little to what I call, holistic science. Science based on the sacred living whole not the separate dead mechanistic. Only recently have I began to realize the true implications of this approach to understanding our universe. Using holism as a model of approaching science allows one to approach any subject with a basic understanding of universal principles that are true throughout the spectrum of knowledge and human activities. This was a truly exciting concept to me and led me to explore many areas of life through this rainbow lens.

I became very interested in nutrition and holistic health in my late teens.  I continued to educate myself through rigorous self study.  Eventually a very wonderful and good spirited person recognized my knowledge and ability beyond what I even realized about myself and offered me a job in the nutrition field. Thus began my career managing health food stores and providing holistic health information to clients and customers.  During the nineties I began formalizing my knowledge through holistic educational programs at Clayton College of Natural Health and Capitol University of Integrative Medicine, where I studied with some of the brightest minds in the holistic and integrative medicine field.  I received my masters degree in Integrative Health Science in 2001.  I also studied with David Wagner at The Advanced Institue of Tachyon Energy in Santa Rosa California. 

Today I am bringing all of the knowledge and experience I have acquired over the years to further my personal mission and vision through the vehicle of our company, HealThySelf LLC.  Along with my partner, Mary, I hope to seek out and bring effective and helpful holistic products, services and lifestyle information to our local community as well as our customers and clients throughout the world.  We seek to create harmony and balance within our own lives, and by holographic resonance, our local and global (and galactic) community as well.

My initial focus in the holistic field centered around nutrition as a career, however my interests are far and deep and just as the word holistic implies, they end up reaching into all aspects of life through science and experience.  One of the first books I ever read was a book about Nostradamus and his quatrains at the age of about 10.  I then quickly became a student of Edgar Cayce and many other authors and teachers on holistic, metaphysical, spiritual and new edge scientific subjects.  I continued my research into this field throughout my life and still consider myself a perpetual student of life.  My studies have led me to subjects such as Holistic Nutrition, Herbalism, Kinesiology/Autonomic Response Testing, Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acu-therapy, meridian science, Allergy Elimination Therapy, Quantum Physics, Sacred Geometry, Water Therapy and purification, Detoxification, Fasting, Spirituality, Meditation, Ceremonial Healing, Energy Medicine, Belief System Therapies, Holographic Theory, Fractal science, field science among others.
