Tuning Into A Conscious Channel

It has been over four months since we turned in our cable box and officially became disconnected from the television programming. As a result, we have more time to read, write, and talk to our loved ones, making us reconnected to what is really important to us. Yes, we finally did it. The TV "programs" (so appropriately called) felt like mind control to either dumb us down with stupid sitcoms, lull us into numbness with entertainment, or twist our thinking with propaganda. Enough. Now, we enjoy the sounds of silence or listen to music. If we want to "watch" something, we still rent DVD's (mostly documentaries), or Conscious Media Network on the internet; amazing one hour interviews which are guaranteed to expand your horizons and sometimes blow your mind with information that you definitely won't hear about on TV. Youtube also has educational talks, like mini workshops you can watch in ten minute clips. One thing I have learned is that truth is far more interesting than fiction, because learning expands our consciousness and helps us to make more well informed choices.

The new Hollywood action disaster film 2012 has permeated the mass consciousness with special effects of the virtual end of the world. Referring to the Mayan prophecies as a source for this cataclysmic doomsday, many are being misled about the true Mayan teachings. Holiday Communications

We all love our cell phones and I would wager a guess that the month of December is one of the highest usage months. We love being in constant communication with our loved ones as we are preparing for the holiday festivities, arranging parties, coordinating gift exchanges, etc. The question I have been exploring during the last few years is this; "are cell phones safe or are they adding to an already epidemic of cancer?"

The answer has been coming back consistently and increasingly yes, there is a very big problem with cell phones. Especially when a person is being exposed many minutes each month. The higher the usage time, it seems, the greater the risk. In the beginning of 2009 France restricted cell phone advertising to children because their risk is higher and they do not have the discernment capabilities. Check out this quote from droz.com where he has taken the position that there is enough concern to take precautions:

We rely on them to connect us to the people we love, to help us stay organized, and, in an emergency, to keep us safe. But more and more experts are saying that cell phones may pose a very serious health risk – increasing your chance of developing a brain tumor.

That means that over 270 million Americans may be playing Russian roulette with their cell phones every day. Each year, more than 21,000 adults and 1,500 children are diagnosed with brain tumors, and researchers believe some of them may have been caused by talking on a mobile phone.

A new study examined a decade’s worth of research and concluded that people who use cell phones for more than 10 years are up to 30% more likely to develop brain tumors than people who rarely use them.

Yes the evidence is mounting and consensus is building on the issue. The naysayers claim poor science and work to protect the status quo and the shareholders investment. But what if the poor science was the lack of oversight and moral character of the initial inventions and patents that created the industry? And we all know what happens once the ball gets rolling and millions of dollars start trading. Tobacco ring a bell. Oh no, there couldn't be a problem with smoking, I mean doctors are advertising it on TV, right?

Based on all of my training I knew intellectually there probably was a problem. I felt in my gut that there definitely was a problem. And I could feel with my head, as it heated up, when I stayed on too long, that there was absolutely a problem. I love the convenience just like everyone else, but realizing there were issues, I have take steps to protect myself.

So here is what I do and recommend for others.

1. I limit my usage whenever possible

2. Use the speaker phone when possible
   

3. Use an air tube headset which insulates the head from the EMF's traveling up the cord       (this is also available through us by special order)

4. Keep it away from my body when not in use
